Coast Salish and Kwakiutl Designer
Noel is a member of the Snuneymuxw and Kwakiutl people on Vancouver Island. He began carving professionally in 1995 and received inspiration from James Lewis, a prominent Northwest Coast artist. Noel began carving in 1994 where he subsequently received training and inspiration from James Lewis, a prominent Northwest Coast artist. He has also worked and learned from other talented individuals such as Richard Baker, James Baker and Darin Lewis. Noel is renowned for his Coast Salish Art and clean designs. His art can be found in galleries and private collections around the world. He is also well known on Vancouver Island for his Totem Poles. Brown's Grandfathers on both sides were great carvers. His family has a strong artistic background and he comes by his talent naturally.
