Spirit Bear Lookout, designed by Coast Salish artist Noel Brown, honours the Kermode Bear, also known as the Spirit Bear, one of British Columbia’s most rare and meaningful animals. Found in the coastal rainforests of B.C.’s Central and North Coast, the Spirit Bear is not albino, but a black bear with white fur caused by a rare genetic trait.
Named B.C.’s official provincial mammal in 2006, the Spirit Bear has become a powerful symbol of the Great Bear Rainforest, old-growth conservation, and the deep connection between land, wildlife, and Indigenous stewardship.
With its quiet strength and watchful presence, Spirit Bear Lookout brings a sense of reverence, beauty, and connection to the natural world into any space. Whether placed indoors or outdoors, this striking privacy screen serves as a meaningful tribute to one of British Columbia’s most revered creatures.

DIY Framing

PVC and HDPE should be framed on all 4 sides

Minimum 1" x 1" lumber or metal recommended

Sandwich method recommended for a secure fit

Groove or dado systems can work when the panel fits very snugly with minimal movement

Avoid loose-fitting channels that allow the panel to shake or rattle over time

ACM can be framed in any style or installed without full framing
Shipping Recommendation
For 3' x 6' panels and larger, ACM or HDPE are recommended for shipped orders due to their durability in transit.
Production Time
Each screen is crafted to order on Vancouver Island and is not mass produced.
Please allow 1–2 weeks for production before shipping.
Production spots fill quickly, especially during peak season.
