Owl and Serpent by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Brent Smith honours the Owl as the Wise One and keeper of knowledge. With its remarkable sight, acute hearing, and silent presence, the Owl is associated with wisdom, perception, and the ability to observe what others may overlook.
In the design, the Owl holds a serpent firmly within its talons, bringing the two powerful figures together in a striking composition. The Owl’s watchful presence and commanding form create a sense of awareness and strength, while the serpent brings movement and flowing energy to the piece.

Minimum 1" x 1" lumber or metal recommended

Sandwich method recommended for a secure fit

Groove or dado systems can work when the panel fits very snugly with minimal movement

Avoid loose-fitting channels that allow the panel to shake or rattle over time

ACM can be framed in any style or installed without full framing
Shipping Recommendation
For 3' x 6' panels and larger, ACM or HDPE are recommended for shipped orders due to their durability in transit.
Production Time
Each screen is crafted to order on Vancouver Island and is not mass produced.
Please allow 1–2 weeks for production before shipping.
Production spots fill quickly, especially during peak season.
