Oso del Norte, designed by Mexican artist Valerie Strom, honours the powerful presence of the grizzly bear and its deep connection to northern landscapes. While grizzlies are now most often associated with Canada and the American West, Mexico was once home to its own grizzly, el oso plateado, which lived in the mountains and grasslands of northern Mexico before disappearing from the landscape. Framed by evergreens and filled with moon, star, and flowing natural motifs, this privacy screen becomes a tribute to wilderness, memory, protection, and the wild places that connect North America.

DIY Framing

PVC and HDPE should be framed on all 4 sides

Minimum 1" x 1" lumber or metal recommended

Sandwich method recommended for a secure fit

Groove or dado systems can work when the panel fits very snugly with minimal movement

Avoid loose-fitting channels that allow the panel to shake or rattle over time

ACM can be framed in any style or installed without full framing
Shipping Recommendation
For 3' x 6' panels and larger, ACM or HDPE are recommended for shipped orders due to their durability in transit.
Production Time
Each screen is crafted to order on Vancouver Island and is not mass produced.
Please allow 1–2 weeks for production before shipping.
Production spots fill quickly, especially during peak season.
