PVC (10mm | 0.4") – Lightweight and Versatile
- Best for: Fences, gates, patios, and decorative interiors
- Features: Made from recycled materials, UV-resistant, moisture-resistant, and easy to install
- Max Size: 4’ x 8’
- Colours: Black, White, Brown
ACM (5mm | 0.2") – Sleek and Architectural
- Best for: Modern architectural projects, signage, decorative feature walls, and privacy screens
- Features: A durable composite material with a solid plastic core bonded between two sheets of aluminium. This structure provides rust resistance and a sleek, refined, modern aesthetic.
- Max Size: 4’ x 6’ (Shimmer Black available up to 4’ x 8’)
- Colours: Matte Black
HDPE (6.35mm | 0.25") – Impact-Resistant and Heavy-Duty
- Best for: High-wind areas, public spaces, commercial installations, and long-distance shipping
- Features: Simona HDPE Boatboard UV—marine-grade, UV-stable, and built to endure heavy use and high impact—our strongest and most resilient material option.
- Max Size: 4.5’ x 8’
- Colours: Black, White
Shipping Recommendation
If ordering large panels or delicate designs for long-distance shipping (screens are made and sent from Vancouver Island, BC), we highly recommend HDPE. The farther screens travel, the more handling is involved. HDPE is the strongest and most impact-resistant material available, making it the safest choice for long-distance transport.

Installation and Framing
If mounted outside, screens must be supported on all four sides to ensure stability and longevity.
For high-wind areas, proper framing is essential. Avoid the dado (groove) system when working with PVC or ACM (HDPE is okay). Instead, use the Sandwich method with the material of your choice:
- Frame with: 1”x1” to 1”x4” timber or a metal alternative
- Secure with: Ceramic-coated screws or an appropriate alternative to prevent movement
- Reinforce as needed for heavy-use or exposed areas
