Features: A durable composite material with a solid plastic core bonded between two sheets of aluminium. This structure provides rust resistance and a refined, modern aesthetic

HDPE (6.35mm | 0.25") – Impact Resistant and Heavy Duty
Best for: High wind areas, public spaces, commercial installations, and long-distance shipping
Features: Simona® HDPE Boatboard UV, marine grade, UV stable, and built to endure heavy use and high impact, our strongest and most resilient material option
Max Size: 4.5’ x 8’

Shipping Recommendation
If ordering large panels or delicate designs for long-distance shipping (screens are made and sent from Vancouver Island, BC), we highly recommend HDPE. The farther screens travel, the more handling is involved. HDPE is the strongest and most impact resistant material available, making it the safest choice for long-distance transport.

Installation & Framing
Framing requirements vary by material and environment:

PVC must be sandwiched on all four sides for strength and durability in high-exposure outdoor areas. Indoors, PVC can simply be screwed or mounted directly to the wall.

HDPE must be sandwiched outdoors to manage structural integrity under heat expansion. Indoors, HDPE can also be simply hung or mounted without issue.

ACM can be installed unframed or bolted directly into position, offering flexibility for decorative or architectural projects.
Recommended framing method (for sandwiching):

Frame with: 1”x1” to 1”x4” timber or a metal alternative

Secure with: Ceramic-coated screws or an appropriate alternative to prevent movement

Reinforce as needed for exposed or heavy-use areas
